What areas does Carlsbad Drone serve?
Carlsbad, Artesia and all of Eddy County, New Mexico. Travel beyond Eddy County is quoted per job.
Does Carlsbad Drone offer discounts for real estate agents?

Real Estate
How fast will I get my listing photos?
Every real estate package includes MLS-ready files delivered within 48 hours of the shoot. Need them sooner? 24-hour rush delivery is a $75 add-on.
Can Carlsbad Drone photograph ranch, land and large-acreage properties?
Yes. Properties over 10 acres are a $50 add-on, and ranch and land properties across Eddy County are quoted individually. Twilight or sunset shoots are available for $75 extra. See all add-ons.
Do I need a licensed drone pilot if I film my own listing?
Yes. The FAA requires Part 107 certification for any drone flight that furthers a business or job, paid or not, and a real estate agent flying their own listing counts. Hiring a licensed, insured pilot keeps you and your brokerage covered.
Events & Video
Does Carlsbad Drone film church services, weddings and community events?
Yes. Event and church aerial video is quoted per project based on coverage length, editing and delivery format. With a background in professional audio, video and live production, Joshua plans aerial shots that cut cleanly with your ground cameras and livestream.
Can Carlsbad Drone make an aerial promo video for my small business?
Yes. Small business and tourism promo video is planned around your message and delivered as edited clips or a finished promo. It is quoted by shoot scope and finished edit.
Commercial & Construction
Does Carlsbad Drone offer construction and oilfield progress photos?
Yes. Construction and oilfield progress coverage gives contractors and oilfield service companies visual drone photos and video of their sites. Weekly, bi-weekly or monthly schedules are quoted per site.
Does Carlsbad Drone offer thermal imaging, LiDAR or mapping-grade surveys?
No. Commercial work is visual only: progress photos and video. Thermal imaging, LiDAR and survey-grade mapping are not offered, so projects that need them should use a provider equipped for that work.
Licensing, Insurance & Safety
Is Carlsbad Drone licensed and insured?
Yes. Carlsbad Drone is flown by Joshua Fredette, an FAA Part 107 certified remote pilot (Part 107 Cert #5324367), and the business is fully insured. A certificate of insurance is available on request; see licensed and insured.
What are the penalties for flying or hiring without a Part 107 certificate?
FAA civil penalties can reach $17,062 per violation for individuals and small businesses and $75,000 for other businesses, per 14 CFR 13.301. An agent or business that hires an uncertified, uninsured operator can also share liability, and their insurance may not cover it.
Weather & Airspace
Can Carlsbad Drone fly near Cavern City Air Terminal or in controlled airspace?
Yes, with FAA approval. When a location falls in controlled airspace, authorization is requested through LAANC or FAA DroneZone before the flight. Some authorizations take time, so book early for those locations.
Can you fly a drone at Carlsbad Caverns National Park?
Not without written permission. Drones are not allowed in Carlsbad Caverns National Park unless the park has given written permission, so that has to be in place before any flight there.
What happens if it is windy or rainy on shoot day?
Drone flights depend on the weather. High wind, rain or storms can make flying unsafe or hurt image quality, so the shoot is rescheduled for the next suitable day.
